RE-ELECT RISHI KUMAR TO SARATOGA CITY COUNCIL 2018
Senator Jim Beall "When there were tough challenges, Rishi took charge. Rishi helped launch more than 50 Neighborhood Watch Programs in Saratoga to make Saratoga safer. Burglaries have dropped 47%. Rishi has pushed back on water rate increases and with the community’s push back, water rate increases have been rejected. Leave it to Rishi to watch Saratoga’s back and always stand for Saratoga. This is the kind of leadership we need in Saratoga"
Santa Clara County Sheriff's Captain Urena: "Saratoga’s drop in those kinds of burglaries is “absolutely” related to its recently revitalized Neighborhood Watch program". Read the Saratoga News article here
Neighborhood Leader Ray Froess (Miljevich) "Neighborhood Watch started as security, but it clearly is much more than that. We are establishing a sense of community, of belonging, of real concern for each other. We live in a wonderful area; great climate, housing, shopping, culture, technology and freedom. Developing a community is frosting on the cake". Read the Saratoga News article here"
Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Marc Lehmann “Saratoga’s biggest crime problem is burglaries,” Lehmann said. “A few years ago we weren’t getting enough calls about suspicious people and vehicles, so the Neighborhood Watch program has had a real impact.”. Read the Saratoga News article here

YES, I AM RUNNING FOR LOVE
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve and to continue doing important and satisfying work in Saratoga's interest. Serving this active, engaged community that I love, is a joy.
RUNNING FOR LOVE : Yes, I am running again for LOVE...the love for Saratoga, for our community and to continue protecting, promoting Saratoga’s interests. Serving these past few years as your councilmember, I have taken it as a very important responsibility based on the trust bestowed by you upon me.
WORKING HARD FOR SARATOGA
I have worked hard for Saratoga’s challenges such as crime water and more. I may not have the answers, for complex challenges as our water rates or residential break-ins, but I have never hesitated to jump in and explore options collaboratively with our citizens and stake holders.
COMMUNICATING, CONNECTING & COLLABORATING
I truly believe that Saratogans are communicating, connecting and collaborating so much more today, as we have joined hands in solving our community's challenge. Case in point; so many emails by Saratogans directed to CPUC have helped reject rate increases. While many new neighborhood block parties stemming from new Neighborhood Safety Watch programs are helping connect neighbors. We are a socially active and aware community with established connections between our neighbors.
PRIORITIES ON THE CITY COUNCIL
My top priorities are to enhance Saratoga's quality of life and nurture a thriving family oriented community; identify the top community challenges such as crime water and work hard to address and resolve them. We are blessed to live in a very unique community. Saratoga has certainly thrived over the years based upon prudent choices. We will continue to do so.
SARATOGA's INTERESTS FIRST #SaratogaFirst
As your representative on the City Council, I will continue to be the voice for all, and an advocate for our city to help improve our quality of life. I will fiercely protect and serve the interest of our families, our children, and our seniors. I will continue being an involved, committed, dedicated and vigilant advocate of every resident of Saratoga. I love Saratoga and I have found an inner fulfillment in bringing my energy towards Saratoga causes; towards the good of this fantastic community we live in.
